Vuelta // Arte

In het kader van de Spaanse fietstour La Vuelta, die deze zomer in Nederland plaatsvindt, organiseren het Stedelijk Museum Breda en Artists-in-residence Witte Rook een cultureel programma in de drie steden waar de Vuelta start: Utrecht, Den Bosch en Breda. Het programma bestaat uit lezingen waarbij de ontmoeting tussen hedendaagse Nederlandse en Spaanse kunst en cultuur centraal staat. Kunstenaars en curatoren uit Nederland en Spanje komen vertellen over hun werk en ervaring als migrant en kunstenaar. De onderdelen van het programma vinden plaats op vrijdag 17 juni in Utrecht, zaterdag 18 juni in Breda en zondag 19 juni in Den Bosch. Hou onze website en social media in de gaten voor meer informatie.

Dit programma is onderdeel van het activatieprogramma van La Vuelta Holanda en is een samenwerking van Witte Rook met Stedelijk Museum Breda, Het Noordbrabants Museum, Willem Twee Kunstruimte en kunsthistorica Krista van der Bron met ondersteuning van Instituto Cervantes, Kunstliefde – ruimte voor beeldende kunst, en De Nijverheid. INVITATION VUELTA // ARTE

On the occasion of the Spanish cycling race La Vuelta which starts in the Netherlands this summer, Stedelijk Museum Breda and Artist-in-residence Witte Rook have initiated a cultural program which will take place in the three cities that are the main host of the Vuelta: Utrecht, Den Bosch and Breda. The program consists of lectures in which the exchange of ideas between contemporary Dutch and Spanish art and culture will be key. Artists and curators from the Dutch and Spanish art world reflect on their artistic practice and their experiences of the migrant artist. The program will take place on Friday the 17th of June, Saturday the 18th of June in Breda, and on Sunday the 19th of June in Den Bosch.
